Another item we got is old HDS clone for about $100.
Note the spelling error on label :-)
One connector is for DLC, another for PC. You will need an adapter - another reason to buy cheaper USB adapter.
Main cable surprisingly thick.
Ok, let's break warranty label and get inside.
4 screws on bottom and we are in!
2 boards.
Closer photos of top board 3557-1235-00.
Notice date and revision: Rev A - the first and 2006-03. My guess that it some stolen PCB design from Honda or their partners and cloned.
Plastic is cheap. You can see broken screw holes.
Second board.
Board 3557-1025-00, Revision A, date 2006-03.
Works ok with HDS 3.015.033 but not worth money as GNA600 clone is better with same functions.
End of teardown.
By the way, current HDS looks like this. I haven't touch it... yet :-)
