While I was waiting for technicians fix bluetooth in my Blaupunkt New York 830, I decided to replace wiper rubbers.
2 years is about time to replace. If you find cheaper than original and good quality (just look for proper length) - 1 year is reasonable period to change rubbers.
This is the old rubber insert from rear wiper.
It has little cracks and when I pulled it, the main cleaning part came apart from the rubber base.
Also interesting that on plastic holder you can see it says "450-550 L". Length was 450mm and probably it suitable for upto 550mm but you need to replace metal holders with longer ones.
Here are both: the new rubber on top and the old rubber below it.
If you look for details, you can see also production date that is important, because rubber gets dry by the time and you better get newest when you by and can check it.
You can see 2 digits of year ending 08, 09, etc and dots in between. Each dot represents 1 month.
So, new was produced somewhere after 2012, the photo is cutted.
The old was from 2011-03.

Reverse Light LED Tuning
I plan to replace every regular bulb to LED in my Honda.
No plans to make xmass tree or cheap looking tuning. I want nice looking LEDs for my car.
First, I replaced license plate and glovebox bulbs to leds. Better look. By the way, WTF bulb in glovebox not always working but only when sidelights are on? When you open it at late evening or at night is fucking scary dark there. Honda why? I remember in Skoda Fabia it always on when you open it - that's right. And even more, it was turned off if you forget to close it for more that like 10-20 mins. My next car definitely will be european car... :-)
Original is W16W lamp made by Toshiba (from Japan).
Meet the lamps from http://www.ebay.com/itm/191211954180 $5 each.
And do not repeat my mistake, get these in white or silver housing, you will see why later :-)
Bigass top LED and 15 x 5050 SMDs.
Like me, I got recently ordered for housework Dremel 3000 2 days ago.
Notice where to sand by arrows.
Also, in the housing at the bottom there are 2 small plastic pins made to stop pushing normal bulb. Crack them. Even if you will return old bulbs, it will be fine - there is sort of locking mechanism with metal contacts anyway for them.
After that I went to the car to check it.
Coooool. More light, less power.
Regular lamp after about a minute has surface temperature about 130 C.
Measured not in place, ventilated. I don't think you use reverse gear for long time, but it gets hot inside for sure.
Led after a minute is around 60 C. Cool, hah?
Regular lamp is transparent and barely visible.
But black LED is fu... I recommend you to get white or silver housing.
Both old bulb and LED.
LED measured current was 0.27A for not running car that is about 12V.
It more like 5W than 7W as eBay seller described, will talk to him.

PVC Half Car Hover
I found on eBay very nice solution for hot sun - half cover.
Cost around $10 on eBay. Pay attention to sizes:
M = 270 * 150 cm
L = 300 * 150 cm - mine, perfect for Civic
XL = 335 * 150 cm
I got experience with covers in past and main issue with it is cover and uncover process.
But this shield is small and very easy to install, not a messy like full car cover version.
Can be used near home at small private parking because there still a chance in public places that somebody will steal it.
Update (2014-09-21)
The only update I did (with help of my wife) is attaching soft fabric for plastic buckles because they can eventually scrub painting.

Rear parking sensors
In Israel Honda setup parking sensors locally. Here is what they install.
The control unit sits under rear trim in the trunk.
The control unit box connected to +12V and ground, to outside sensors on bumper and long wire goes to display above rear mirror inside.
This is a display that they put above rear mirror. Buzzer, left/right side indication with metering.
And sensor painted in car color. Old mushroom style, not flat ones like modern original sensors come from factory.
You don't want to know why I know what and HOW installed parking assist in my Honda, but... stay tuned.
